The Zamir Chorale of Boston will conduct auditions for all voice parts on September 21, from 7 to 10 pm at Hebrew College in Newton Center. To audition, first attend the two open rehearsals on September 9th and 16th (both Tuesdays, from 7:15 to 10:00 pm); then e-mail

to schedule your audition. Candidates should have excellent vocal quality, the ability to sight-read music, and previous choral experience. The Zamir Chorale of Boston specializes in Jewish music, from all over the world and all centuries, and is America's foremost Jewish choral ensemble. (Even if you don't think you qualify, sitting in on the two open rehearsals can be a valuable and enjoyable musical experience; and you may get some good vocal guidance from an audition even if not accepted into the group.) Rehearsals are Tuesday nights Newton Center, with about a dozen concerts per year, both local and out of state.
