The eligibility rules by which veterans can receive an inscribed headstone or marker for their grave at any cemetery were recently changed.  Eligibility used to be from 9/11/2001 onwards, but now has been extended back to 11/1/1990.  Veterans, active duty service members, and National Guard service members are eligible.  Mail a completed VA Form 40-1330 (available at www.VA.gov/forms) or pick one up at City Hall.  For more information, or to have a form mailed to you, call 617-796-1090.
